Does anyone know WTF this letter means

Ok, just found out what the eff is going on, seems this money they overpaid us but still call a debt was supposed to be pad @ £3 pw but this comes up for review and can be changed, so they did change it and never bothered to send us a letter which they admit and apologised for.

So the £52.69 is the increased amount, and my pension next month will be back to normal.

Sorted, it would have been nice to get the letter they didn't send as it gave the chance to contest it.

An overpayment is a debt, Kev, in the legal sense, because you owe money to DWP, albeit as a result of their error! But, I accept readily that having the overpayment referred to as a debt rubs salt into the wound, when it arises in these circumstances. Probably a generational thing; our kids wouldn't bother about the terminology; they ust accept that this is the modern way of life, poor customer service, poor training, zero hours contracts generates a 'Don't give a Donal Duck' reaction to the ethos of customer service etc. Tbf, it's difficult to have pride in your job if you're paid peanuts and treated like cannon fodder by your employer

Glad you got it sorted the benefits system tend to make decisions then maybe send a letter. It’s like this if you owe them they chase your arse or just take it and if they owe you, well !!! in that process you are always made to feel like the robber !!!
