Dometic fridge problem

Hi, I have an Auto Sleeper Suffolk with a Dometic RMS 8501 fridge.
Have just been doing some pre season checks and noticed that when on 12v mode the triangle exclamation mark/failure led is flashing along with the battery12v indicator. The actual fridge light comes on when you open the door but it doesn't appear to be cooling.
Anyone had similar problem or know what it might be.

Don't know if you have a user manual, but it's problem solving pages are pretty good.

When the two messages you describe are flashing it tells you that you either don't have 12v or the voltage is too low.

The recommended solutions are:
1) Check fuse
2) Flat or low battery
3) Engine not running
4)Heating element defective.

Sorted! I feel a bit stupid admitting this folks but,
The problem was I did not have the engine running and even though I have had the van two years have always had it hooked up and have run the fridge on 240v, never on 12v.
Never to old to learn
