Viewing news here in France and viewing BBC Scotland news. Strange one with dry dock incident, as the vessel has been dry docked for months. Txt msg a couple of my laddies employed by Dales, no replies to date, hope non of them were aboard when the vessel listed?

Terry, there’s some pretty dramatic piccies taken from local news site on the other forum (WC - “Oops that’s not too good”). Latest is 23 in hospital and12 treated at scene. Hope all is well with your laddies.

Tony

Couple of my recent laddies were on board when vessel listed and have minor injuries. An older lad from a few year back is still in hospital. HSE will be all over this incident like rash!!

Media reports are that it was as a result of the very high winds we had today but I can’t believe that was the sole cause. Surely vessels in dry dock should be secured against greater eventualities than very high winds. As you say HSE will be all over it and it will be interesting to see their conclusions in a few years time.
Hope you’re enjoying your second homeland (France).

It’s a weird one as vessel has been dry docked for ages. Wind will be a factor, as I guess will be the hull supports within the dry dock, the yank gov won’t be happy!!

Edit: all good here in France, 25 kilometre cycle today, my derier feels like it has spent a night in Perth prison 😂
