Hi just wondering if anyone out there has bought an eldiss cv20 this year and experienced any issues? So for we have had a water leak in the shower room as the waste pipe wasn't connected, there were no shower hooks for the curtain which took weeks to arrive, the latch on the shower cupboard fell off, the bracket for the shower handset fell, off, the laminate trim around the worktop in the shower came loose, the shower door is on the squiffy, the whale control panel,is broken, we can't get hot water, the door panel on the sliding door is coming off ... we've had to fix most things ourselves to avoid disaster, but not the bracket or the control panel, anyone else had any issues? We bought ours from Glossop who have been ultra pathetic in getting stuff sorted out and are blaming everything on covid

Seems whoever made the shower unit was having an off day. Write to the manufacturer, you would think they would know who is responsible. They should also be questioning quality control.

You don't say exactly how long you've had the van or what dealings so far with Glossop on the matter. However there are some basic actions you cant take.
Read up on your Consumer rights, some useful stuff here https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/consumer-rights-refunds-exchange/ and here https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/how-to...e-your-rights-if-you-want-to-reject-a-vehicle.

It's tedious, I know, but you need to write down all the faults (ideally with photos), what mitigating steps taken to prevent further damage, and names and dates of conversations with Glossops. Send this in a letter (not email) . recorded delivery, to the MD giving a reasonable time for rectification or rejection of the vehicle.

You may be surprised at the impact of a few pages of A4 on the MD's desk, assuming that is that they have any interest in maintaining a reputation.

Agree with last post. If you are really unhappy with the van and have given them the opportunity to correct the faults, you have the right to "reject" the vehicle in the first six months. We did exactly that, and had a full refund. If you want the vehicle still and show you have a knowledge of your consumer rights, the MD is more likely to be helpful. We googled the name of MD of firm who sold us our vehicle. We emailed him and sent a recorded delivery letter same day, the response was made before the letter arrived.

You should not really have snagging hitches in a vehicle that is mostly hand built, and expensive! You wouldn’t tolerate that in a car, so why should it be acceptable in a Motorhome?
It really isn’t good enough.
In 2013, we bought a new Autosleeper Broadway after it being advertised and sold to us as a “premium product”
Rubbish! First trip out, all the bathroom fittings fell off the wall and the heated towel rail in the bathroom collapsed. Over the next two years, things fell apart, fell off or leaked and one side wall developed a crease between the fridge vents. It went back to Autosleeper for a fortnight to have everything put right, that should have been right the first time! We sold it after 3 years, the next owner had little luck with it. Goodness knows where it is now, mot history says it doesn’t exist anymore.
Our latest motorhome, bought new almost 3 years ago was built properly and nothing has gone wrong, fell off or broken, after 35000 km!
So, it can be done.
