Hi all,
My son has just got a bare large van to convert to a camper. He has asked for help with the electrics and whilst I am ok with most I have never done a ‘from scratch’ conversion.
Help from anyone with experience with this would be most appreciated. He has an auto electrician to supply cables etc. but has no experience with the camper bits.
Looking at a 300ah lithium and lots of solar, 2k inverter with B2B etc.
Over to you 😎

Recently spoke to a couple who had converted a Fiat van and I was well impressed, he was a joiner so the interior fittings and fixtures were top class.
He mentioned that as he was an electrical numpty he used a company he found online to design and make up the electrical wiring loom. He had to supply them with a list of what he was installing, fridge, cooker, sockets etc etc and the location of same.
He said it wasn’t cheap but in his view well worth the expense. Perhaps your son could have a look at this option.

What he really wants to do is not decide what battery and inverter etc he wants, but what he is wanting to do. That will determine if say 300Ah is overkill, or maybe actually not enough even.
