We originally planned to drive down to northern Portugal but because of the extreme heat we have decided to go down the east of France, arriving on a stunning aire called Valjoly, on the border with Belgium and a pleasant 25 degrees
First time I was there it was free to park and I think €2 for water/electric. Second time was chargeable, not sure how much.
Now it looks like €8 - €10 to park depending on season.
Jeff will let us know, pretty please.
Just back from our 6 week trip Jeff we high tailed it out of Spain and back up to France because of the heat. To be honest I prefers France with the Aires and the locations next to lovely wee towns. I think the nicest place we visited in Spain was the last city before the border San Sebastián think it was you who pointed it out last year. In France along the coast we used the camping-park Aires app and visited some stunning places and never paid more than €14.
We have just arrived at a small town called Stenay, lovely Aires toilets, showers, launderette and EHU, for only 10 euro a night, the temperature is rising up to 34 later so better go and dig my speeds out

The sign in the photo is from 2019, I thought we had been robbed until I found the new tariff sign at the side of the payment machine, but it is worth every penny, the toilets and showers are spotless
Looks lovey wish we was there
We left Canterbury and came home. The hospital called and discharged me saying I needed no further treatment funny that Airedale said I require physio .
Enjoy yourselves we can travel in a few weeks Xx

No we still couldn’t travel. Canterbury might of said that but our hospital at home says defo no travel I need Physio. How could Canterbury get it so wrong Xx
We have only paid for 2 nights to park up by the sea when it was over 40C. Otherwise, travelling through Greece and in Turkey, all free park ups. Motorhoming in Turkey is just so easy. Cheap diesel and LPG. Roads are good. Villages wide. Loads of free water points.
Just left Cappodichia. Pic is one of our views.
