I was looking for a photo and came across this little thing I did on my VW T4 which I thought may be of interest?
I fitted FASP Swivel plates originally to the seats but they raised the seats up too much and were also quite a faff to use so I took them off and sold them on. But I still wanted some perches.
I found if you pull the seats forward after removing a little stopper they go a looonggg way into the footwells and that gives a good open area of the seat base.
This makes the base a very useful storage area. Plus if you move the seat back forwards it can be used as a seat back from behind, if that makes sense?
Drop in a couple of boards with some carpeting for a touch of comfort and appearance and you end up with a pair of buddy seats
