Fiat Ducata sliding door issues

The sliding door on my daughter’s 2016-17 Fiat Ducata has stopped locking. The rest of the central locking is working fine for the front and back doors but not the side sliding door. So when the van is locked using the remote, the sliding door remains unlocked and when opened sets off the alarm
Does anyone know of a way to manually lock the door? There is a mechanism inside the front door to put a screwdriver in a hole and pop the latch, close the door and it’s locked but on the sliding door there is no latch inside the hole - it’s just empty! Any other ideas on how to lock it? Also any ideas on what could be causing the problem of it not locking on the central locking? She’s cleaned all the contact points and they don’t seem to be the problem. Cheers David

I had this issue, it was the pin in the locking mechanism at the rear of the door, just manually pushed it in and out and it cleared the fault, never done it again.
