Fiat Ducato throttle problem

Any suggestions?
Fiat ducato maxi 2011
Clicking sound when lifting off the accelerator. Just started.
Best described as similar to a relay operating.

Has your accelerator pedal got a return spring fitted ? Sometimes these can make a funny clicking noise

Couldn’t see one. Seems to be a plastic hinge arngement I’ll look more closely tomorrow in the light.

I would have thought if it is anything electrical it would illuminate you engine management light

Thanks to all the experts. Had a poke around as per The Laird photos. Couldn’t see anything wrong but I guess the dodgy bit must have known you were all on the case as the fault has disappeared. Many thanks

If it comes back...
If it clicks with the engine switched off, it's mechanical.
If it clicks only when engine on, it's electrical (electrically controlled).
