Its that time of the year again when fireworks are going off all day and night , our poor Roxy is shivering with fear and just hiding under anything she can get under , it is about time these things got banned 💢

Too right.

Jazz was always very frightened of fireworks, in fact bangs and loud noises generally. He got worse as he got older. Had to be careful when out walking in case there were any guns going off, bird scarers as well.

Luckily Reg doesn't seem fazed at all by them but I don't know about Molly 'cos they haven't started round here yet.

Should be one night only,
Organised displays and not for sale to joe public
Glad to have the motorhome and be able to park in the middle of nowhere, so arrived at 230 this afternoon to have a busybody rock up with camera taking our pictures and saying you don’t have permission to park there,

I asked if she would like a guided tour of the inside as well 😄😄

Maybe get a proper camera out (so it is obvious) and take pictures of their vehicle........ and them if they took pictures of you

I’ll second that Jeff our Saffy is the same .

I think that they have finished for tonight. Thankfully Sunny has never been bothered by them and due to his age doesn't hear as well as he used to. It must be awful for those pets and animals who are frightened,We have quite a few farms around us although it's an urban area. I often wonder how farm animals and horses feel.

Just be bad for people near to them. Last few nights I have been at least four miles from any going off and a few have been loud here. not to bad for dogs though if I put music to Netflix on

Roxy is the same with guns, any loud suspicious noisy, like motorbikes backfiring, I feel for all pets we have, but we try our best, for this last week I have been careful when out walking, occasional fireworks gong off during the day this last couple of weeks, all farm animals seem to take it in their stride, we used to make sure our horses where in the stable before dark around bonfire and firework time

615 Sunday morning fireworks going off over Raunds Northamptonshire,
Nice views out the bedroom window but Jessie didn’t appreciate being woken

we put our border collie in her cage with a blanket over it to deaden the noise and give her calms

kyran

Our Roxxy barked everytime a firework was set off last night, she wasn't frightened (at least we don't think so) but it obviously bothered her, I opened the back door and she ran to the direction of the bangs and just kept barking, it should be banned or at least only allowed on the 5th, it lasts a few weeks around here 😠

Was it fireworks or shooting?

I had a dog she was called Elle (5 months short of 18 when we had her put to sleep) she was exactly the same I had horses, so I always had her at the stables with nearby fields, if any was let off (DAYLIGHT) she would run to get for them as if they where monster's, she always barked aggressively, when she got death, she would watch for the lights especially in the conservatory and huff and puff with aggression

Pretty fireworks lighting up the dawn sky
Ha ha okay, point taken :) I often hear shooting if I stay on the farm and it starts very early which is why I asked.

bit of a change but a few weeks ago on the drove you could sit and watch the flares being used on some manoeuvres you couldn’t see. :)
