I am changing the van radio to a DAB. I know I will have to change the aerial but will I have to earth it as it will be mounted on the fibreglass body or can I make a ground plane? Please.

I would do a little check first with the current aerial. I added a DAB module to my radio and I got a splitter so I could use the Radio on FM and DAB with the existing aerial.
Didn't know how well (if at all) it would work but did so surprisingly well.

If you were to try to do this, you could get something like this - https://amzn.to/3KMZrX0 - (the splitter I used). It has the DIN Socket that the existing aerial plugs into, and then a DIN Plug for the FM side and a FAKRA connection which is what DAB will almost definately use.
