Is it possible to watch the new freeview TV app on the van TV , .using the mini USB socket somehow connected to the TV. If so what cables would be needed ? Any advise please

I suspect an OTG cable which you have.
So View on phone and repeat on Tv with OTG to tv USB

I believe that if you have an iphone you can get a cable with lightning connector one end and an HDMI connector the other end.

As a related point it will be interesting to see if using the Freeview app abroad gets BBC coverage .........

Can anyone confirm whether these cables actually work, as I've tried three different ones and had no success. But it could just be me as I think it's quite important you get the settings on your phone right.
