On Friday I bought some LPG from a local petrol station. £1.29 per litre, so that’s 50p more than Locks, nr Hereford .
But that’s beside the point.
On the way home, the smell of gas was noticeable in the van. Once home, I walked around the van, and the smell of gas was again obvious outside, near the fill point. Next to nothing within the gas locker. Overnight the smell had gone. The gauge hadn’t changed, so no leaks from within the van.
This made me think that there was a problem with the fill hose or its fittings.
I stripped everything out today, all tight, nothing obvious wrong with the hose, or the fittings.
So.. has anyone ever had a problem with a garage’s fill nozzle not fitting properly, causing a leakage while filling?
There could of course be a problem with my setup which isn’t obvious. I’ll take the fill hose up to Charlie to see if it is damaged. I need some bits from him anyway, it’ll be just as easy to collect them as have them delivered.
