We've noticed a tear in our kyham quick erect awning where the fixed poles go through the fabric and wondered if any one had used gorilla clear tape to repair their awnings it looks very good but does it last?
Any advice greatly appreciated Steve

When my trailer tent canvas got attacked by a mouse I used some purpose made clear patches for it, it looked a bit like those clear wound dressing (cling film ish)

Kyham do proper repair patches, mine came with a couple for each colour and a tube of adhesive.

I carry a roll of Gorilla clear repair tape, it works as claimed as long as you thoroughly clean the area you are sticking it to, my next door neighbour has used a 3" piece of my tape to repair her kids 10ft paddling pool which has been on two years and has stayed inflated for two summers now, a wheelbarrow innertube still holds pressure after two years as well

That's great information will order a roll off ebay now I know it lasts thank you

The clear mounting tape is good stuff too. It’s quite thick and moulds to uneven surfaces well. It also comes off cleanly (cheesewire works well) unlike the foam stuff and seems resistant to UV. I’ve used it for GPS & dashcam mounts as well as the iNet box and tissue box holders.

Re above. Drink had been taken....
