Grimsby on the way to Orkney

Pretty please is there anyone from the Grimsby area on the forum?
Reason for question is that I'd Id like to do a stop off on the way to Orkney if the Rally goes ahead.
Want to to research some family history so thought I'd find a pub stop or CL near enough to the port to do that and also a kennel for Buster so he"s not stuck in the van all day while I explore.
Given perhaps another staycation year for newbies with vans I better get started now. TIA

There are a couple of stops on the POI's around Grimsby if you look on the WC site. Not used a cl or pub over that way so cant help with that though
