Gumtree PayPal Scam near miss

I have a add in Gumtree for a asking price of £3650 then get Email saying would the would pay full asking price would pay throw PayPal Then get another one saying what would I accept I said that I had offer for full price came back they would up price they would also use PayPal the only thing stopped me from accepting one of the offers is that I cannot take out money of my PayPal account. I dread to think what would happen if I had given them my details. I did a Google on Gumtree scams a yes the first email I recived was the one in the link

So many scams on these sites you have to be Uber careful.

I almost got scammed once, never ever allow collection if being paid by Paypal, insist on cash on collection or post it signed for, follow the Ebay/Paypal rules and most of the time you will be okay.
