Many thanks everybody. It’s been a great day so far!
As some of you may be aware, we got home from the NY festivities to find that the boiler had died completely and we had no heating, so we had to arrange for a new one to be fitted. To be fair, we had been thinking about changing to a combi boiler for most of the Autumn but because of our very expensive van breakdown, never quite got round to it.
While we were waiting for the new boiler to be installed, we lived in the van, for about ten days and then I fitted a suitable shower to replace the old electric one.
I finished the install at nearly midnight last night, and my Birthday Treat was to have an extremely decadent midnight shower with glorious hot water and far superior water pressure than we had been used to in the past. Worth all the time and effort!
So thanks again for your best wishes, I think things are on the up and up!
