With Brexit, for EU full timers , what’s your take on Andorra? Looks very nice and cheap? Given people with a British passport can do 90 on in 180 days but non Schengen countries like Andorra, Croatia, Isle of Man, Ireland, Romania, Bulgaria are all good alternatives not counting to your Schengen stay time limit. E.g: 90 days France, 90 days Andorra then the clock resets. Put another way for full timers in Europe, what’s your plans for being able to travel with the un-delightful position some are in.

If you fancy a change having had a break in Andorra it might suit to nip over to Monaco, San Marino or Vatican City for the next 90 days out of the EU - they aren't in the Schengen agreement either.
All small but beautifully formed.

Andorra small? Some people spent 90+ days in a crowded campsite in Benidorm. That's my idea of Hell.

We were in Andorra 40 years ago, after spending a few weeks of our summer holiday in the Spanish Pyrenees in a small tent at 6000ft and hiking, so not very up to date. As I remember it was a lovely mountainous country and "duty free" oasis, with every shop in Vella crammed full of booze and cameras.

If you're into walking it might be as good as anywhere. Hiking in Andorra

The problem as I see it is that all the European options for staying longer than 90 days are in countries that are colder in winter than the UK!

Having watched the TV programme about Bargain Brits in the sun, I wonder how the Benidorm crowd are fairing now , most of them did bits of work here and there , bar work, odd jobs bar comedians going from bar to bar etc, drag Queens etc, most would appear to be unregistered in the Spanish system, so were invisible I guess but I guess that will change now, We drove through Andorra one trip to Spain and got caught in a horrendous traffic jam getting through, coaches everywhere , so I would be in no hurry to go back there at any time.

I was led to believe that although Andorra is not in the schengen there is some rule where visitors from a 3rd country like the UK now, are only allowed 90 days like the rest of Schengen, ie the clock doesn't stop when you enter, hope I am wrong because been a few times on way to Spain/Portugal the skiing was great, free wild camping on the slopes.
Would be a great option to extend the 90 rule with a stopover there and back, we have never had passports stamped when entering or leaving, but if you right no doubt that would change as Britts would be asking.

The clock does stop when you enter as it’s non Schengen. So you make sure your passports stamped on entry and exit or carry proof/receipts of stay, e.g: Food/camping site/petrol receipts.

For example you could do 90 days in France, then 90 in Andorra and then your Schengen Allowances would restart per the 90/180 rule.

I don't recall seeing any border crossings where you could get a passport stamp , but I haven't been for a few years, so maybe it's changed. Fags were cheap though!

You wouldn’t have had your passports stamped previously anyway, but leaving the EU means you will ( or could ) when you enter or leave the EU as tourist.

There’s a cool app called “Camper-contact” I use. There’s others too but it works well for Europe. It shows a few, a couple of the parking lots even free.
I forgot I had that. There are a few campsites and aires, but I doubt you old be allowed to spend long in the aires. Campsites at €20+ per night is going to make a 90 day stay there very expensive, not to say a tad boring.

Check you are insured to drive in Andorra.
That's a very valid point. We took an impromptu, unplanned visit when we toured France and the Netherlands in 2018. We were in Narbonne Plage, close to the Spanish border and thought it would be good to add two countries briefly to the list. It wasn't until we got back home and I was idly reading my insurance certificate that I realised we'd gone through Andorra illegally :(

We were just waved through from the Spanish side and there wasn't even anyone on the border at El Pas de la Casa (although there might have been if we'd taken the Tunnel).

We found a few wild camping spots courtesy of some apps on our phones. However, the ones in the towns tended to be on significant slopes (it felt like crampons would be needed to climb to the back of the van!) and the flat ones outside towns tended to be at elevation and very cold. We checked out our 'alternative' on our way out of Andorra and it was covered in snow with temperatures in the low minuses -- in late April!

I can vouch for the 22nd on the list. Well worth a visit and I've already stayed longer than 90 days so I'm guessing that visits are not policed too rigidly. If the situation deteriorates I plan on moving to the 16th on the list for 89 days before......
