when we are travelling on without a specific destination we tend to fill in areas of the map we haven’t travelled, so for today’s adventure we left portugal travelled west into spain for 15 miles then turned north to travel over the sierra morena, it was a beautiful journey and my ears popped a couple of times as we climbed higher & higher with views for miles we stopped for lunch at the old town of cumbres mayores, then headed for our overnight stop at jerez de los caballeros from miles away you could see the stunning hilltop town and the aire was unbelievable with free electric right next to the bullring , after a quick cuppa we walked into the town it’s originally moorish the walls mostly intact have 6 gates through them & we entered through the burgos gate the churches were amazing coloured tiles on the walls and painted stonework, the best things are always the ones we stumble across rather than seek out

You get to some really nice wee spots ken I’m taking notes. That’s the kinda places I want to visit later this year love the old church buildings

Thanks, Ken.
Looks lovely.
If we leave in good time, well visit it.
It's been on our ,to do, list .
But by the time we're coming back south, we're usually to close to home, to do the detour.
We reckon Wully is only interested because of the number of scruffy looking roofs. He'll arrive with a team and 2 truckloads of gear, to avoid next winter.
Safe travels.. Fresh adventures.
