HEREFORD save the dates 2026

How come Christmas and the winter seem so close but Spring bank holiday next year seems soooooo far away? We need to start hibernating.

Some people actually use there vans through the winter and also want to while away those long winter nights planning for next year.

Something to do with the difference between being comatose and comb the toes - those who do the latter will need to hibernate ... :ROFLMAO:

I now know what day I have to be back from France,Spain and Portugal.
Intricate planning required.
Returned November first. 2025, Day 305. So 305 + 90 = 395 - 365 = 30
Day 30 next year is 30th January. Give it a day for luck. So I can book a ferry on the 31st.
Returning 29 th April. So day 30 out, day 119 back = 89 Schengen days.
Oh! It was once so much easier. Thank you Boris.

If you limit your trips to around 55 days (use the EU Schengen Calculator to experiment), Del, you can get longer stays because earlier days will decay, and will be replaced by new days in the future. As long as you never exceed 90 days, you can benefit from future days! Sounds complicated, but enter your previous trip dates followed by your planned 2nd trip dates, and the system will tell you how many 'old' days fall away, and how many new days will accrue ...

I appreciate your advice Steve. But the way I have worked it in the past, is to have maximum time during late winter and early spring. That way I can bring my SPRING season forward, a month or so. When possible I have another break during the autumn, therefore maximising the summer months. Happily, that links nicely with the end of both the Motorhomer meets, and the end of CRMC race events.
If our rally organisers could sort out weekends where the weather is better, that would be a great improvement. Just because Hereford floods, it doesn’t necessarily mean it should rain heavily while we are there. I can see no advantage of being cold. Let’s face it, if Sue can run dry, sunny meetings. I’m sure Lee and Jeff, with all their years of experience can pick, dry warm weekends. Even Littlebough almost flooded last New year. Another example of bad planning?

I put the response up partly for general information, Del, just to point out the possibilities. And everyone will make their own choices - with me, it tends to be the logical, whilst most 'normal' folk will choose the emotional option :ROFLMAO:
