Hiking Groups

There’s usually a few people who will walk at most meets. If you are expecting 20 milers. Well most of us are of a “certain “ age. Three or four miles are all most of us can manage.
Having said that, younger, under 60’s, do attend some meets, and will walk longer distances.

As a Full Member, attending meetings, there’s nothing stopping you from organising something.
Don’t think anyone would think you’re being pushy. Sometimes all it needs is someone to suggest something for it to take off.
Go for it😬

As a new member who doesn't post much and hasn't yet been to a meet-up...
That sounds like a fab idea, we use club rallies to get to walking places and find we're often the only ones out for a hike

Thanks for replying. I have literally only joined recently so I'm keeping my eye on the rallies as they are announced. I can then plan in a hike to see if anybody would like to join.

Thanks for the response. I do like a good distance from time to time but not always as far as 20 miles.

Please do not concern yourself with worrying about what folks will worry about you. That’s never going to be a concern.
You have joined a great bunch of people and you’ll never going to regret joining us.

Walking is something you can regard from walking the dog,to trekking. There with always, or almost always be someone who will be willing to join you.
Enjoy!

There's usually someone who will join in on a walk depending upon the terrain 6 to 8 miles or so is pretty common. If you organise anything remember to use the key phrase "pub stop" and you will get takers. :)
