When ever I see photos in books, magazines, facebook, Instagram etc that have location info with them I use any info for future trips.
I search the location in Google maps.
I use Streetview for a little drive around.
Next I save the location and add details for myself later.
Later when i'm driving around a new area with my maps on display, the location symbol shows up on the map. Some might be too far off my route. Others are hidden gems with views or great photo opportunities.
My latest is Kinnoull Hill Woodland Park? . Seems like a great spot. I can't wait to visit.
