What are the issues, if any?

We rarely us a fridge as most of our food is fresh
However, our 3 way van fridge is due for retirement so decision time. I have found a small domestic fridge to fit the gap.

Thanks for input.

Only "issues" we've found is needing to fit a lock to the door to prevent it opening during travel

And the bulb/led inside not drawing enough current to kick the inverter in to light up the inside when the inverter is,in eco mode ....

Other than that ...it's roomier inside
Less temperamental

And runs 24/7 through the summer from our batteries and solar ..
So stays loaded and ready to go .

I always use a fridge as most of my food is fresh and I like it to stay that way! :)

To keep it powered up while you're not on EHU you'll obviously need an inverter with enough headroom to accommodate the starting surge current which can be quite a lot higher than the running current, you'll also need to have enough battery capacity to run it too. For an under counter fridge allow approx 50Ah per day so a 100 lithium will give you 2 days but this doesn't allow for any input from alternative sources like alternator charging while driving or solar, neither does it allow for any additional loads like lighting, charging phones, TV etc.
As you can see it's massively system and lifestyle (or should I say 'vanstyle') dependent so get plenty of input and assess your requirements before taking the plunge.

Before fitting the 240v fridge freezer we had a small ISH tabletop 240v fridge running on a £45 Chinese 600w psw inverter no problem inverter no load consumption was negligible and it was happy at start up .Also ran the new fridge freezer off the same inverter for a while no probs.Allow for the motor to run max 50%of the time max ...the good bit is motor runs most during high ambient temperatures...IE when it's sunny...and PV is producing most
