I always use a fridge as most of my food is fresh and I like it to stay that way! What are the issues, if any?
We rarely us a fridge as most of our food is fresh
However, our 3 way van fridge is due for retirement so decision time. I have found a small domestic fridge to fit the gap.
Thanks for input.
To keep it powered up while you're not on EHU you'll obviously need an inverter with enough headroom to accommodate the starting surge current which can be quite a lot higher than the running current, you'll also need to have enough battery capacity to run it too. For an under counter fridge allow approx 50Ah per day so a 100 lithium will give you 2 days but this doesn't allow for any input from alternative sources like alternator charging while driving or solar, neither does it allow for any additional loads like lighting, charging phones, TV etc. What are the issues, if any?
