How Ruuude !
Tea break and two vans arrive from Germany and Belgium.Never come across 3 European vans like that here in the USA.They conversed outside between themselves for a while and I thought, considering our circumstances, they would acknowledge us and say hello. Not a dicky ?.Drove off leaving us to talk to the friendly American vehicles.IMG_20181207_162510.jpg

They are seriously strong looking vans.

A shame they didn't stop for a chat as good manners cost nothing..... and they might have learned something from you. It always pays to be polite.

Hi. Why is someone rude because they do not say hello or acknowledge. My wife and I have often parked up in lay-bys even mile long promenades. Within 1hour there will be. Mh. Cars parked within 6ft of us We then start up and move further away. That's why we have mh and wild camp. We love our privacy.now I am told it's rude. Surely people have right to want to have a bit of privacy. We parked on leysdown /shellness prom once. Woke up in the morning 4 more mh. 3/4 miles empty. 5 mh I 140 ft. Soon packed and moved.

Ps. Now know how to do thumbs up. Like button. But how do you do a thumbs down. Not like. Symbol shows up and down. Thank you in advance.

I think that comment's unkind, unfair and uncalled for Wooie (n)

We just don't know the circumstances. They may have been travelling together and just stopped for a quick conflab about the route or something... or been in a hurry. Choosing to socialise or not is very much up to the individual and there are some days when even I don't want to talk to anyone... yes even chatterbox me! Maybe they wanted to avoid a conversation about the B-word!

Mojo, how are you finding travelling in the US? I lived there for 3 years back in the 80s and really grew to love the people and the relaxed way of life.

If I see a foreign MH while I’m home in the uk I’ll go out of my way to say hello, but I won’t necessarily stop to do the same if I see a Brit when I’m across the water I’d much rather have a conversation with a local.

Aw Wully no... we found the Germans incredibly friendly and sociable when we were over there touring this summer. Couldn't believe how lovely everyone was.

Hi folks, ...mojo...et all...humour can sometimes not come across "in cold text on a forum" as it does when voiced across the dinner table !!! You need to put "LOL" when expressing humour a lot of the time....Germans ??? (LOL). Maja

That’s right I’ve been too Germany a few times mainly watching my team getting stuffed and find them all right on home ground but any time I’ve been on holiday Spain Greece Portugal when you come in contact with Germans they are arrogant and up there own back ends And that’s usually about 7am after I’ve crowned one of them wae a sun bed tossed his towels in the pool Jenny do you think it might be me with the problem ??

.....Luvvin it Wully me haggis !! Quite agree...ok only on their own turf LOL ?....

OK I'll concede on that point. Holiday makers (from anywhere) hijacking all the sunbeds... that's enough to try the patience of a saint - like me :p
Using sunbeds as crowns is generally to be avoided or you might be gifted one back as a stripey tie
Wully, how could a near perfect human like you possibly have a problem? :ROFLMAO:

I'd have not waited for them to come over and say wie geht es, but gone over to them to say hello (but mainly to be able to have a look at their trucks - those are PROPER motorhomes to me)
Have to agree David... I'd love a peep inside one of those beasts!
