Incineration toilets in motorhomes

I remember some time back seeing the latest incinerator toilet at an electricians show. The toilets came in gas or electric and I thought to myself that it is the future for motorhomes.

I was just watching one of Andrew Ditton's YouTube videos and he is reviewing a Kabe caravan that has a gas incinerator toilet fitted.

Incinerator toilets only leave a small amount of ash behind. In fact, four people only produce one teacup of ash in one week. The ash is sterile, safe, odourless and great for your garden.

The bad news is that the gas version of the toilet costs £3,585 with a Thetford cassette toilet costing around £750. Quite honestly if I was buying a new A-class and had the option for an extra £2000, I would most likely take it. Can you imagine not having to empty the toilet? (well a bit of ash once a month)

I should really link to Andrew's video. Have a look at this caravan, the lounge is awesome!

Certainly a step in the right direction, but I think they should make it more affordable. I suppose the cost will come down, in a few years time, or when the Chinese make an acceptable copy.
Does that mean Annie will have nothing to put on the bonfire?

If it goes mainstream the costs will reduce Rog but it’s hard to believe a cassette toilet costs £750. Wonder how much it would cost to print them, maybe time technology started to fight back a bit. What about a Motorhomer 3D printer :)

It is a bad business move, people would just print more printers, I would only sell one :)
But think what you could sell cassettes for, Wully would need to place a standing order :)

Wow, how amazing!!!
Thought ur message was typo for macerator!!!

Easily lost in cost of £80k van or even press dealer to include it. Sure profit will be high so won’t cost them anything like it!!!!

I still think that British Rail had the best solution------------------------------------------as long as you were on the move, if not, drive away in the darkness

Yachts open their waste valves while on the move so why shouldn’t we!!

Hi Again,

Vindaloo!

My first thought.

Maybe the way forward but I don’t think it will be cost effective in my lifetime.

Ok hands up think I might benefit from this could claw the cost back over a few meets by not having my cassette contents spilled in a drunken stupor and unused cleaning products
Ha ha Wully, I was thinking of you as a potential buyer :)
