Hi Edina,

Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad that Flux were able to cover your motorhome at a competitive price.

Dan

I have used Adrian Flux in the past for cars and possibly motor bike but not sure about that bit, never had any problems and will be asking for a quote come renewal time.

Can you tell me how long you are allowed to stay in Europe on a single trip please?

Hi there,

Thanks for the enquiry and the length of EU coverage does differ from insurer-to-insurer. We have one that offers 180 days but will extend upon request, others that will do 365 days and there are some that will do 90 days any one trip.

I hope that this helps and let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Regards,

Dan

I use Adrian Flux for a kitcar and I think they are good value. I was going to use them for my Carthago but they don't provide enough windscreen cover for Class A motorhomes. If I remember correctly their windscreen limit is £1000 and Class A windscreens can cost up to £3000. A bad stone chip from another motorist is not something you can easily guard against and with ever stricter MOTs not having full screen cover is quite a risk.

Be careful using this company. !!! Insured my motorhome with them a couple of years ago because they were competitive. No issues there.
During the insurance period we changed our motorhome, phoned Adrian Flux to change policy to new van and was told policy was non transferable and no refund was due on remainder of policy. No mention of this when policy taken out. Since then been a happy customer of caravan guard ins. and no problems when i changed van once more.

If one was to take out 180/365 cover for EU, would you also be able to insure the empty house left behind?

I was with Flux on my self build during and after, came to renewal and I couldn't find many which were more, As for Caravan Guard, yup no issues at all until I had a flat VB at home, they DO NOT & WILL NOT provide home breakdown cover, best they could do was £98 for a man to come out and tell me I had a flat battery, even if I had a new one there he would not have changed it, & the renewal was £200 more than the previous year.

I am truly sick and tired of this rigmarole every year, I have to spend half a day ringing or filling in online questionnaires to get a new quote, whcih is always better than the renewal, So Dan why no customer loyalty? why do you ALL try to rip us off every renewal time, a tener more ok fine, thing go up, I get that, but hundreds is taking the wee wee, if I have had no accidents or convictions, and have not moved house.

I suspect it was written into the contract.

Hi,

I'm with Carol Nash, great prices year after year and Europe wide breakdown cover. They got to us in 20 mins when we had a problem with a wheel.

Hello,

Yes if the length of time touring is 180 days it shouldn't be an issue. For longer periods we would have to refer to our panel of underwriters - some may stipulate that a family member or responsible adult keeps an eye out on the property whilst unoccupied .

Please let me if can be of further assistance.

Regards,

Dan

I use Adrian Flux for a Kit Car I built too.

I was very happy with their premium against the offered renewal from a previous company I had been with for around 14 years.

I'll now stay with Adrian Flux.

Don't bother, I'm also already with them and called the "dedicated" number on Wednesday and no one knew about the scheme and said they would treat it as if I was a member of a club, they then found my renewal on their system and passed me to renewals, after explaining the scheme again they then told me I was already getting the discount! So apparently this scheme that no one there knew about was in operation last September! I tried to explain this and the renewals team said that I needed to get a brand new quote. So I left it at that and today I finally found time to call them back and we started the process all over again and when we reached the "Oh you already have this vehicle with us, I'll pass you over to the renewals team" I stopped him and explained what had happened on Wednesday so he carried on and gave me a new quote and with the discount it would only be £246.00 compared to the £209.00 for the renewal lol. You couldn't make it up!

Regards,
Del

To be fair they've been pretty good until I tried to exercise the discount
