I saw that in my recommended stream as well. I found some of the comments funny...
"no litter on the streets". What?? the streets are filled with rubbish!
"classic cars". They look ok from a distance, but when you get close, they are in a terrible state I thought.
Only been once for a two week holiday in an all-inclusive hotel (and had a really enjoyable holiday), so mostly saw a sanatised version I have no doubt, but you could tell the poverty was bad. Best job in Cuba I think was probably being a bartender in an all-inclusive hotel? Holiday makers would tip them a normal Cuban's months wages in an hour or so! I didn't give them a penny, but instead tipped the 'invisible' staff like the groundskeepers and cleaners.
One thing I found amusing until I learned the reason .... There was always roast chicken prepared for Breakfast. Who eats roast chicken for breakfast? nobody! I asked one of the staff why they made this when no one was picking it up and they said that any food that was left after the meals were served they could take home. Mystery solved

It's a place I would have liked to visit had a I the money, free housing sounds good, but average wage is only $15pm, more doctors than here by the sound of it, a very strange but fascinating place a really good video, and no voice over or canned music.

Went to Cuba a few yrs ago staying on the Cayo's , after 1 day said to wife this ain't Cuba this could be anywhere in the Caribbean so we had a flight to Havana to see the Culture was amazed how big Cuba is having taken over an hour to fly to Havana. Had a day being shown round by a lovely lad who earned 12 dollars a month ( I gave him 10 dollar tip ) & said any educated people couldn't leave ,lot's of poverty mostly looking to tourists for money was certainly an eye opener.
