INTERNET SERVER PROBLEM

Don’t know if anyone can help - I’ve tried Googling but not solved the problem … on my iPad I keep getting an SLL ERROR message which means I can’t access anything via the internet. I’ve reset network settings, cleared caches and data etc as google searches instructed but can’t solve it. Anyone any ideas how or where I could find help? I’m tethering to my phone at the moment but it’ll eat up my phone data while I have a data sim in the iPad. I’m currently in Spain so pretty reliant on my ipad.

Assuming you mean SSL (Secure Socket Layer) rather than SLL, it could be due to something simple (like date/time misconfiguration) up to the need to reload all the CA root certificates. Hopefully, one of the following references will help -- but I suspect someone with better knowledge of the subject might be along with something more specific...

Edited to add: if the website has an insecure version (i.e. http:// instead of https://), you could try accessing that

Thanks Geoff - that looks scary! I’ve tried the easy fixes - only resulted in me losing lots of stuff - like my Wordle stats!

Is it worth popping in to phone shop .
Don’t think so Barry as it’s my iPad - I’ve just bought to some extra data to see me through, just the slight inconvenience of tethering every time but not a big deal in the scheme of things. I’ll have to take my iPad to the Apple shop in Leeds I think.
