We’re currently spending a few weeks on the Isle of Man. It’s very motorhome friendly and plenty of places to stay, both on street and campsites as well as a few government run areas providing elsan disposal and water.
There are a lot of motorhomes about, but I’ve not seen any causing obstruction at all, though a few take up long term residence in built up areas. However, there are signs of change. We used to overnight on the Wildlife Park car park for the racing but signs have gone up prohibiting it, and questions are being asked in the House of Keys.
I think it would be a shame to see motorhomes discouraged. We and I would imagine many others visit here because it is so friendly to them and there could certainly be a big tourism loss for the Island.
