They called me in 2 weeks ago out of the blue.

Serum cholesterol level 3.20 mmol/L down from 3.60 so good
Serum HDL cholesterol level 1.5 mmol/L down from 1.9 also good
Haemoglobin A1c level - IFCC standardised 71 mmol/mol not very good but down from 76
Serum total 25-hydroxy vitamin D level 103.0 nmol/L which considering I have been taking 800 iu per day for over 10 years is pretty low
and my PSA is as last time 0.03 which is very low, 4 is considered normal

That and my slight but consistent weight drop make me a happy bear.

Feckin shame I can't bleeding walk far.

You're right it is a shame .
More walking , less time on keyboard

Not bad for a hard living Tyke...
That Hba1c is 4 in £sd.
That's putting you into Hypo territory.
No fun if you're driving.
Good excuse for adding a little 85% black chocolate and a spot of something naughty into your regime.

Well thank you for your well considered ill informed diagnosis Allen based on feck all

If I could walk much further than the kitchen, I would don't you think, I have to sit down while waiting for the kettle to boil, due to severe pain in my left hip upper thigh and lower back, just going down to van means I have to rest for a good while before I can do anything at all.

But I can at least sit at my keyboard in no pain, apart from getting stupid comments like yours.

Far from good David but better than last time. My cholesterol and sugar are still too high, Vit D should be at the top of the scale not half way up.

I'm just not improving fast enough despite my efforts.

If, it was a joke, it was far from obvious, I have a positive outlook on life, and a great (hopefully) sense of humour too, the last thing you need when you're struggling with pain is anyone making a "joke" out it.
I was having a gentle dig as you are a prolific poster. Hasten to add that's not a criticism .
I wasn't making a joke about you being in pain . In my opinion that was obvious.
Though if I were struggling with any ailments I would want as many jokes made as possible . Knowing my acquaintances I wouldn't be disappointed.
But , of course , that is me not other people
