Do you suffer from any of the above prior to getting ready to attend a meeting
I feel I suffer cabin fever more and more these days but can’t do much about it due to work commitments.
Think I also start to get cheesed off if for example I’m driving through aviemore to go to port soy and see areas we wild or have stopped at it gets me humpty
AM I ALONE IN THIS ,SHOULD I VISIT A PROFESSIONAL TO SEEK ADVICE?or do you suffer my symptoms

Yes it is nice when all the organising has been done and the meet gets closer and closer . Wish we could come Gordon

Always get cabin fever once I've been home for about a week. It's been a month since I was away in the van and I fear for my sanity o_O
Roll on Moffat!

I don’t attend meets but never at home more than 2 weeks between travels. A widower so the conversation tends to be very much one sided between me and the dog so definately get cabin fever. I’ve been ready to head out since Tuesday but the inclement weather has delayed things some what. Heading out tomoss regardless of the weather, fingers crossed no snow in the forecast for Cumbria.
Reading the previous posts above gives the impression a few members only attend meets, I’m sure that’s not the case.

We certainly don’t only attend meets, I don’t know that anyone does. The meets are great fun though and it’s good to put faces to the names you read on the internet. I find that often people are the opposite of what you expect from their online persona.

ive on;ly attended half a dozen big meets.......unfortunately no smaller meets.......the meets I have attended have been fun, friendly , surprising and exciting...........wish i could get to many more meets.........
cannot understand why some folk dont give the meets a try.......GO ON GIVE IT A TRY.........nothing to loose....everything to gain. and lots of lovely friendly folk to get aquainted with.........

just looked at the list for the moffat meet and there are at least 35 units attending.....some will be single and some couples.........however the meets which i have attended.....it doesnt make any difference ...everyone is just so friendly....and of course there is the warmth of the pit fire on an evening..........
there will be lots of folk to have conversation with OB......give it a try...... edit...at least 45 units attending...with further in the waiting list

I'm almost the exception that proves the rule! Most of my camping involves meets and I try to link 2 or 3 together to stay out to play longer and make it worthwhile doing the distances. I'm also widowed OB and although I'm perfectly content in my own company, I feel I spend enough time alone as it is and haven't found too much joy in camping on my own this past 4 years to be honest. I rarely wildcamp any more, unless it's a pub car park or somewhere I feel really safe. Maybe I should get another dog? It's much more fun to have a friend along on a trip or people to spend time with at the end of a long journey. I sometimes use the van for trips other than meets but it's usually to visit/stay near friends or family for a few days.

Having said all that, I spent a few days alone at a little CL in Devon a couple of years back and a fair bit of time in Scotland too when I was slowly heading to the Orkneys meet and it was absolute bliss!... but then I knew there'd be good company at the end of the journeys.
