Vehicle serviced by a Mercedes Dealership on 6th April 2021.

Number of keepers: 2

Current owners bought the vehicle in 2013 and commissioned Kombi Kamp of Accrington who specialise in VW campervan and Race Van Conversions to undertake a custom conversion for extended duration travel both on and off grid. The van is highly durable, with leatherette interior and has a massive garage area and is very comfortable.

Extremely comfortable and quiet and suitable for long distance travel.

Vehicle dimensions 2426W x 2815H x 6945L (without rear step). This is narrower than most motorhomes and the number of couriers using the Sprinter speaks volumes for its reliability.

Driving area:

  • 2 swivel belted pilot seats (driver and passenger)
  • 1 x Leisure battery located under passenger seat – this is charged when vehicle is running (i.e. split charge relay to stop drain on vehicle battery) or when vehicle is on 240vac mains hook-up.
  • Integrated display to indicate voltage of leisure battery
  • 2 x flexible position LED reading lights each situated above each front swivel seat.
  • Storage cupboard above driver and passenger
  • 2 x charging point sockets for external solar panel charging of leisure battery.
  • 4 x USB charge points in cab area in addition to the 2 x 12v charging sockets that is part of the standard vehicle.
  • Split charge relay and associated 50-amp fuses

Living Area

  • Large sidewards facing seat that pulls out into a bed 1900L x 1255W
  • Fixed bed above garage area 1930L x 1060W at widest point, above which there is a shelf, reading light and one of the two opening rooflight.
  • 2 x opening rooflight (skylight) with integrated blackout blind and flynet.
  • Malaga 4 water heater – uses either gas or 240vac mains
  • Propex air heater thermostatically controlled - used for heating when the vehicle is stationary. It can also blow ambient temperature air in from outside.
  • 2 x Gaslo refillable gas bottles fitted allowing LPG to be refilled at Autogas stations which is much cheaper than exchangeable bottles and universally available around Europe (unlike exchangeable bottles).
  • Integrated WAECO (Dometic) fridge
  • 2 x opening window with integrated flynet / blackout blind in living area.
  • Dometic sink with integrated hot / cold mixer tap fed via electric water pump.
  • Dometic dual burner gas hob
  • 2 x 240vac mains sockets (when on hook-up) in living area
  • 3 x LED strip lights and 3 x LED spot lights in living area
  • 1 x standalone table and 1 x sliding table
  • Storage cupboard above sideways facing seating includes fuse box
  • Storage cupboard above hob and sink
  • 2 x drawers, 1 cupboard and gas bottle compartment under hob and sink
  • Laundry cupboard over wheel-arch
  • Double shelved cupboard above laundry cupboard
  • Storage underneath sidewards facing seat

Integrated shower / toilet room with door. The room also includes:

  • Integrated cassette toilet with flush fed by under tank water,
  • Shower with mixer tap fed via electric water pump,
  • Opening window with integrated flynet / blackout blind,
  • Vanity unit with mirrors,
  • Shower curtain rail,
  • Light,
Note floor of this room is stainless steel since Kombi Kamp would not fit plastic shower trays - they have previously had to repair vans with damaged shower trays and advised that it has resulted in stripping significant parts of the van out to replace.

Underneath van

  • Underslung fresh water tank with drain,
  • Underslung waste water tank catching water from sink with drain,
  • Electric water pump.

Garage area includes

  • Access for emptying cassette toilet,
  • Main’s hook-up RCD & 2 x MCB Consumer Unit rated at 16 amps and 6 amps. Includes test button,
  • 2 x 240vac mains sockets hook-up.
  • Garage Light
  • Storage fasteners for straps
  • Coat hooks
  • Area of garage 2120D x 1112W x 1124H
  • Rear doors are not centrally locked, but locked via key.

MOT until July, but 12 months will be put on when sale is agreed.

Bodywork is good and has been well maintained.

Engine is excellent and has had injectors replaced by Mercedes Benz dealership when serviced.

Recently had new brake discs to front and back and new discs to front

Invoices kept.

2 x ignition keys

Vehicle has been thermally insulated which also provides sound proofing.

Thule awning fitted.

Vehicle has been owned by non-smokers.

The current owners have undertaken numerous extended duration trips. They have such confidence in the vehicle that in 2020 travelled into the Arctic Circle to the most northerly point in mainland Europe (at the same latitude as the top of Alaska). In total they were away for 75 days and on this trip only stopped in official sites for 4 nights. This trip is blogged. This indicates the off-grid capability of this motorhome, but is also designed for mains hook-up. Its was designed for extended comfortable living and has a massive storage capacity.

The design allows for any future owner to increase the roof height of the garage area by either raising or removing the bed above the garage. This could be done by a DIY enthusiast or a joiner. When the van was converted, Kombi Kamp advised that the work would take a maximum of two days to complete.

The information provided is to the current owner’s knowledge accurate.

Only sensible offers will be accepted, with others ignored.

Might get more interest if you gave the price? (or is it hidden in there somewhere?) :)
