We're just to the south east of Alençon.
Tomorrow The Pelaton will be going up this slope:

So we're overlooking the slope:

We've been joined by several French families, one of which has just dropped off their Moho. They live about 300 metres away and plan to use the Moho as their café!
The carnival atmosphere has started. People in roadside picnic chairs, cycling clubs pre-cycling La Tour route, passing cars tooting their horns,,,,,,,
The French certainly know how to party.
Brilliant atmosphere here.

Our group continues to grow and has spread onto an adjacent (cropped) field:

...........and the banners have started to sprout:

Obviously the food and drink is out!

The lead rider was some minutes ahead of the pack. I'd love to upload a video but I'm told that my video doesn't have a valid file extension. Oh well.
The atmosphere was absolutely brilliant though the pelaton passes by in a matter of minutes. I'd certainly recommend the experience.

I was wearing the red beauties today, Barrie. Once the Pelaton had passed the French spectators surrounded me and demanded to know where I'd bought them. I've always been a snappy dresser but have always protected my supplier from excessive demand so couldn't divulge my source.
They may be interested in the shorts you wore at Attleborough. If you could post a photo I'll check with the natives tomorrow.

I've just had a look through my photos of La Tour from yesterday and thought I'd share a photo of Simba (the Zimbabwean entry):

and, of course, the Croatian entry was as suspect as their footballers:

I hope that anyone else in La France has as much fun as we had watching La Tour.

Colin ???

Yes I'm here. We're at the entry to Alpe d'Huez town not in motorhome city at the finish. Brits here are severly outnumbered and we need reinforcement pdq. Hope you're all having a great time.
