Laptop burning my legs

Not quite burning but it does get hot even with the fan running so I have dug deep and bought this:-

It arrived yesterday and I have to say it's not bad, my legs are cooler now, more so if I plug the fans in too, I used to use a piece of 10mm ply so the laptop fan wasn't being blocked and it was okay for about an hour, then it started to get warm, then get too warm, the laptop would also slip about but this thing has it's own rubber feet so it quite static now, it's also at a much better angle so less chance of RSI.

Any l top running windows will get hot as everything runs live in the background and uses between 4/8 times what a linux distro would burn.
Lite series 7 is just out and will run for 5 years, just what the doctor ordered.

I have an iMac it’s 4 years old now and I guess it’s going to go on for a lot longer ..
