Lebara network

I took out a Lebara sim just over a month ago, so not used it away from U.K. I intend to test it in April in France and Spain.
It piggybacks off the Vodafone network. I chose it for 3 reasons,

1. At the time of writing you can use up to 30gb of data in the EU (or India!)
2. It is a 30 day rolling contract, so can be cancelled easily if it doesn’t satisfy my needs.
3. If you decide to investigate further, then look at the Uswitch website. They offer sponsored deals at discounted prices, or they did when I started my contract. £7.95 for 30gb with the first 3 months at £3.95 if my memory is functioning. This was much better than anything Lebara were offering on their own website.
4. I also have 2 Smarty 30 day contracts, but limited to 12gb per month in the EU. Their app is much superior to the Lebara one. Smarty allows you to look at call, text and data usage whereas the Lebara one is full of adverts for Lebara, however it does detail data usage which is the important information.

Pretty sure I’ll go with NOS Dave.
IF I can get away 😥

I’ve used Lebara for a year now I and my wife have a 20 gb monthly contract. We’ve used it in France and Spain no problems Cost £10 a month. Could probably get cheaper but never had a problem with it.

I took joined last week to find that although the download speeds were reasonable the uploads were almost non exists in my home town and in several area I tried nearby. So it’s back to Giffgaff onO2

We need a provider on EE. Recently went to RWG with some trepidation after reading reviews but the Sims roam faultlessly in France, Spain and Portugal. £10 a month for 20gb at home and abroad, rolling monthly contract. On offer until February at 20% off, so I got another! Might drop the first when we get home.

Recently come back from 7 weeks in France, Spain and Portugal. Good reception everywhere we went

Tried their SIM card in my area, Lowestoft/ Oultom Broad Suffolk, found downloads speeds ok but upload speeds either very slow at .13/.43/1.40 mbps so totally useless. No an issue though because I hadn't parted my number before testing their sim. Its back to o2 for me.

We've had 2 Lebara sims 600 mins unlimited texts an 5gb data £5 a month Used at home Spain France Portugal with No complaints for at least 5 years
