I took out a Lebara sim just over a month ago, so not used it away from U.K. I intend to test it in April in France and Spain.
It piggybacks off the Vodafone network. I chose it for 3 reasons,
1. At the time of writing you can use up to 30gb of data in the EU (or India!)
2. It is a 30 day rolling contract, so can be cancelled easily if it doesn’t satisfy my needs.
3. If you decide to investigate further, then look at the Uswitch website. They offer sponsored deals at discounted prices, or they did when I started my contract. £7.95 for 30gb with the first 3 months at £3.95 if my memory is functioning. This was much better than anything Lebara were offering on their own website.
4. I also have 2 Smarty 30 day contracts, but limited to 12gb per month in the EU. Their app is much superior to the Lebara one. Smarty allows you to look at call, text and data usage whereas the Lebara one is full of adverts for Lebara, however it does detail data usage which is the important information.
