Computers.
When typing away merrily, you notice you've left the Caps lock on.
Hold down Shift. And F3.. Saves a lot of swearing.

Cooking:
When chopping Kale, sprinkle olive oil over the cut leaves.
This makes it easier for them to slide straight into the waste bin.
.
.
Motoring.:
Frozen Windscreen. ?
Take a roll of masking tape and a kettle of boiling water to the vehicle
Pour the water quickly onto the screen.
Cover the cracks with the masking tape.
.
Any more, anyone?

If you don’t know the correct torque to apply to a nut or bolt, simply tighten until it starts to strip and then back off a half turn. ?

Not sure whether to use a nail or a screw? Bang a nail in, if it splits you should have used a screw. :giggle:

Always buy an imperial adjustable spanner, those metric adjustable spanners are never the right size!
Very true..same with metric lump hammers.
When we bought our Portuguese hovel, to do up, , a friend presented us with a 5 kilo bag of 4" nails... Just what we didn't need, on the return flight..
When I explained that they were not compatible with the metric hammers, he apologised.

Never mind if they are nails or screws just make sure they are not left handed !

Etiquette:
If you should fart in a public space, it's good manners to shout out a warning.. " INCOMING..! " is considered to be polite.
However, " SHARE THIS AMONGST YOURSELVES !! ", is considered to be bad form.

Ecology:
Save the planet. Wash, dry and Iron used plastic bags and clingfilm.
Either, reuse them yourself, share them with friends and family, or make an appointment with the manager of your local supermarket, to present them to him in person.

Or open the lid of the kettle as you carry it out, when it will probably have cooled enough not to crack screen.
Not a technical wizzard to know what temperature this would be, just guessing!!!!

Thanks for pointing that out Carrersax.
could save someone a lot of expense.

If worrying about your age remember those that have most birthdays live the longest and if still worried have annual increments of a half rather than one
