London Low Emissions Zone

There is a lively discussion going on on MHF regarding driving in the LEZ. One unfortunate member got caught and fined for driving in the zone and not registering.There is a way to see if your MH is OK to drive in the area or if not, what to do...

The problem with theses gov.uk sites is I can't get into them to check my vehicles out. They have weak algorythms, apparently. The MOT one is the same,

I emailed TfL regarding their site and whether one needed to still register even if the site said the vehicle was exempt. I received this reply...


"Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) - Enquiry

Thank you for your enquiry, received 15 December 2017, about the LEZ.

We are happy to confirm that if your vehicle states on the online checker that 'no charge due' then this means that your

vehicle meets the required standards to travel within the LEZ and you do not need to make a payment or registration

for this vehicle."

I used the site a couple of years ago and it said my 03 Fiat Ducato Rapido was ok, I have since been to London twice and have had no problems
