Marine toilet anyone?

This Laika van we're getting has a marine toilet. Never used one before.

Anyone else have one in their van, if so what are the pros & cons please?

Get the feeling that some people may have retro-fiitted cassettes?

It has a normal toilet cassette stored in one of the side lockers. Got to be there for a reason?

I have a feeling these models were built with a dual system? Black waste tank OR cassette. I'm kinda hoping this one is! The dealer didn't know anything about it, or at least the guy who was there when we were. I've emailed the boss man to ask about it this morning.

Can't imagine Laika would have built it without a pump?! They were pretty good at being ahead of the game, I think. Oh well, we'll find out soon enough lol :poop::poop: :ROFLMAO:

Here you go, fast forward to 13:50, you don't need the sound unless you can understand Italian, and it's sort of self-explanatory :)

Yes as Roger says, it looks as though you can just empty the tank or divert it to a cassette, but whether they fit that option to all models? If you have a cassette with the van, it looks as though that's the way it works. A better option IMO than carting tank loads of waste around.

As said on WC (how apt) Marie, many marinas be they coastal or inland have pump out facilities, we have one locally.

You would probably have to pay to use it, but given the option of having to empty less often is quite appealing.

Another downside is being full of s**t, Oops, I meant carrying more weight around.

You should know by now, Rob, I am always full of s**t :) :)

I am also a lot fatter since Christmas, so no change there either ;)

Thought mariners just dumped it involved the move, like trains. Should we start a trend joining them!!!!!
