Looks a bit overkill, look for Omnivent

It is meant to be pretty good. Not AS good as the Maxx Air, but significantly cheaper and it doean't have the top cover overhang that can be a problem.
I would say it is better than the Heki or Omnivent. Depends if you want to still with the branded tried and tested or happy to try a more capable alternative? (I'd get one if I needed to change my roof vent)

We need to change the kitchen area 400 x 400 vent in our Autocruise Starseeker. We looked at the Maxx, but decided to hold off for a while. (we can't open the pop up vent, it got brittle so not chancing it.) I am not a slave to brands, so this looks interesting, but I guess there is no power run near the vent, so would have to lay that in. But looks good to me.

I had the MaxxAir and while it cost just shy of £300 I felt it was worth it. That "alternative" will not be as good as it but at less than half the price wouldn't expect it to be but I think it offers nice features.
I have a powered Kitchen vent and if it failed, that maxx-like vent would be the one in the basket :)

As it happens, I have just ordered two Fiamma 400x400 vents for a neighbour whose existing vents on their 2010 Autosleeper has gone brittle and crusty. Best value I could find for a decent brand at around £65 each.

We have a MaxxAir in our conversion and it works fine except - it doesn't "seal" when closed like a normal vent and can be quite draughty/noisy in strong winds (depending on direction). It maybe that it was installed incorrectly.
