Had our first habitation check yesterday on our 1 year old camper van and some mildew was found! We hadn't noticed it and are so glad it was found so we can ensure it doesn't spread. Our guy recommended wiping it away with a warm soapy solution. If you have had this problem we would welcome any tips and solutions. What do you do? Thanks in anticipation! Anjo
P.S. Thanks to Community info re security. We now have a police recommended steering wheel lock and I've bought fake tracker stickers too. Only deterants I know but better than nothing!

I you Astonish mould and mildew spray 99p. If used regularly it is very effective, however it depends what you intend to use it on. Be cautious in the motorhome.

You might want to investigate why it's appearing. Mildew occurs where there is damp, or trapped moisture. Not enough heating/ventilation?

Vinigar works im told,i would want to know why its there in the first place,i had some this year in my self build and had to remove rear floor section and replace, find where damp or water is coming in or no air getting in and around,ps dont use heaters in winter as that can cause it when the van cools down esp at night.

Ask Victor.

Sorry, going for my coat as we speak.

Mildew is spread by tiny spores so be careful when moving around cleaning up. Damp areas is where it likes to grow and multiply so you need to make sure you have plenty of ventilation in the area and of course make sure there is no damp. Leave cupboard doors open and try to get a circulation of air. Seat cushions can be stood on end or removed.
