.......for Annie (Campervanannie) and Chris (Edina) displaying just some of the 50 flavours on offer at an artisan glacier in Périgeaux:



When I mentioned to the glacier that the photo is to be shared with Annie he exclaimed "Sacre bleu!", then went on to explain that Annie is held in awe by French glaciers - in fact she is referred to as St Annie, the Patron Saint of Ice Cream. He insisted that I photograph a statue of the Saint as a young child:



As you can see, the statue is located in Street of Mercy.

After our meal out in Azay-le-Rideau last evening we forwent the desert and, out of respect for Campervanannie and Edina, went to one of the best glaciers I know in the Loire area:
