Hi in Italy at moment looking at park 4 night seems a potentially large amount of negative reviews disturbance and safety .what was your experience as we may just go to france

The first time I visited Italy was circa 1970, and I really enjoyed travelling around the country. Bolstered by that memory I returned in our camper a few years ago and found the Italians remained a lovely people. Until they got behind a steering wheel, when they became a downright menace. 😡

I quickly stopped driving the perimeter coast road as it proved too difficult to move efficiently, and kept to motorways.

I didn't use P4N but bought a brand new Aree de Sosta. I found too many of the sites were difficult to find, and am certain that many of them were incorrectly identified, or had closed. One that I did find and stay on proved to be a tennis court. 😂

Other members love the country, but for me it's no longer the pleasant place I first visited, and I won't return.

P4n and search for sites are the two sites I use . P4n has the most places but , therefore (?) , more dodgy ones .
Using both apps I end up in mostly good spots . Including Italy of course

We did Italy a few years ago, most of the lakes in the north, then down to Florence across to Pisa then
up the riviera to Genova then back into France.

Most of the time we were in campsites, but they seemed very expensive, but secure.

The Italians wanted cash euros all the time, no credit cards , no wonder Italy was in a financial mess at that time.

But we did not feel isolated and they all seemed very friendly.

Not long back from italy and greece, had no problems in either, weve been to italy more times than i remember, this year 10 days in january and ten days end of feb , not a problem wild camping, apart from the rubbish everywhere, if you find a parking spot without rubbish youve crossed into france or Austria and didnt know it
