Hi, got one of these at Christmas and have cooked curry in it but I was wondering if anybody has one and can I cook things that are less saucy? Like jacket potatoes, or chops.

No you can’t really. You have to heat up all the food right through first so that it all maintains its heat when you seal the vacuum. The pot also needs to be almost full for the same reason, to maintain heat and stop it all cooling down too fast

So stews, curry that sort of thing. Oh and of course soups.

a friend has a magic cooker basically the same as a mr Ds or an army haybox , you can heat the interior with boiling water leave some in the bottom & cook stuff but not really satisfactory, iin it’s element when travelling or out for the day load it up leave for hours perfect curry’s casseroles etc
