I went to download Netflix stuff to my MS based laptop, to watch offline, this morning and found that it is no longer a supported way of doing this. Netflix content can now only be downloaded onto:-

  • Android phone or tablet
  • iPhone or iPad
  • Amazon Fire tablet
  • Google Chromebook

I certainly don't want to watch things on my iPhone (which in any case need IOS 17 or later).

Has anyone come across a way of circumventing this for laptops?

Works on linux with firefox & brave browsers, does not work on falcon browser, time you rebooted to linux mint or lite.

I haven't tried it - and I don't have Netflix so can't anyway - but if you have Windows 10 or 11, you could create a virtual machine and install Linux and try that?
