when you take someone with you to a part of the world new to them it opens your eyes to places you take for granted our friends have had years of motorhoming but never been northern spain or portugal so we met them in ampudia then moved on to braganca and torre de moncorvo they have been amazed at what we have shown them the wild majestic valleys of the north & the tamed almost garden like douro valley , todays stop was freixo de Numão famous for the site warden selling his own port at now €20 for 5 litres but today we arrived early and walked down to the old town which we have never explored it was lovely genuine original buildings etc then we found a bar the terrace was shaded by vines festooned with huge bunches of grapes , the beer & pastries were cheap €1 a 33cl super bock beer & probably the best pastel de natas ever think we’ll be here at least another day , got back to the aire & thought lee & linda were a couple of months early this year
