One Of Seven White Horses

As has been posted elsewhere, Annie and me are stopping overnight at The White, Horse, Westbury.
It's been a lovely day with fluffy clouds and some blue sky with (at times) a brisk breeze. Lots of families come to enjoy the huge open space here on the northern escarpement of Salisbury Plain. It's clearly a well-loved place.
The White horse overlooks the valley below:



Though looks even more spectacular from Annie's paraglider:



As the sun went down Annie introduced Toya to The Horse:



And The White Horse finally bade the sun "Good night":

Is anyone interested in a mini tour taking in all seven White Horses?

I wish I had the time, there's always somebody wanting to get stuff done. Don't get me wrong, I know it needs doing, but sometimes life's too short. I want to revert to being a teenager and let someone slse do the serious stuff.

I know how you feel Sue sometimes just sometimes I want to runaway but..... that’ll not happen well we’re away for a month before long and we can’t wait!!

We stayed at Westbury and another White Horse last year. Westbury was quite busy with 'yoofs' but they were no bother apart from one idiot who was nearer 40 than 20 and acted like a prick until I spoiled his night vision with a strong torch beam. He took the hint and buggered off.

I missed this thread, that looks a really good spot. I did check it out on the map but as we came down M6/M5 we were too far off to stop Thursday night

Many many years back we tried staying there but the local nobs were too much of a nuisance, bordering on dangerous.

We was the only one staying there and they had great fun seeing how close they could drive past us at speed.

I rang the police who weren`t interested in the slightest and in any event had no one available.

At 02.00am we gave up and moved down to the layby on the A350.
