Can someone explain why when in a field on Anglesey, iPad and phone have the same iOS (13.7) both with 3 sims, the phone continues to receive data but the iPad does not? Just curious ...

Mine sometimes does this, I have found by shutting the iPad down and restarting it seems to sort it

Try closing your iPad completely down Carol, and then starting it up again, it may just need re booting.

I had same problem recently , three devices and one wouldn't work! Eventually it got the internet but no idea how I did it. Kept restarting, gave up, went back, and after a few tantrums ( me, not device!) It worked!

A slightly quicker fix which sometimes works is to switch aeroplane mode on then off again. It force the data stream to be refreshed.

Shout at it and have a beer whilst re-booting ! or "Airplaning"
OR Skim it over water "Aquaplaning"..not recommended.

Thought different devices have different Signal pick up ability.
Can it also depend who’s doing west around you!!
