I do like that 'Decking Area'.
I have seen a few conversions (via Youtube) of people using the taillift of Box Trucks as a drop-down patio.
I think if I had a van with that kind of taillift, I would be very inclined to try the same thing :)

Exactly the same as mine - except I don't have the decking bit !!!
 
From my experience it does persuade them , the built in washer dryer was the cherry on the top :)
