I have a few and one came up for £100 last week, but it seems all we can see now is the holder number we no longer get to see the actual bond numbers as we once did, I buy mine in £25 blocks to spread them out a bit as that's how my dad did it and he was always winning a few bob.

Best not to treat it as a serious investment.
It's a safe flutter, with a money back promise.
Hardly inflation proof.

If you log on to your NS&I account and goto Prize History you can see which ones got lucky.

It is a common belief that you should sell old and buy new to improve chances, and other strategies. I doubt it makes any difference.
I used to win each month but nothing in last 3 - and the OH in the last 2-3 months has been winning lucky dips on her Lotto ticket, so I reckon you only have a certain amount of luck allocated per household and she is hogging it in ours :(

I only got them to have a bit stashed that I couldn't spend, but where are the bond numbers, all I get is a holder numbers so it's impossible to check.

impossible? I think I showed you it was not?
forget the monkey above, go to the organ grinder - https://www.nsandi.com/ - and logon to your account. And if you don't have one, register one. You need the holders number to login.

I did all that but it is only showing the win from this month David, I've won £25 a few times in the past but they don't show up.

I found my bond numbers now though, not that is does me any good other than to know they exist, I'll reinvest the £100 not really worth much anymore @ £25 a go every other day until it's gone to spread them about, it likely makes no difference but I feel it's better.

We have a stash each and normally do well winning £200-£450 a month in totalBUT nothing this month.
Generally better than bank interest
We get at least one £100 win a month which we never did b4 the increase in winning allocations a short while ago.
Would be nice if a £100,000 one came up one day or even £10,000

£200-£450 a month seems pretty good but you must have a lot invested to get anywhere near that I only have £525 so not expecting too much but 2-3 times a year I get a tickle.

Averaging £2,500-£5,000 a year is a good return if you have the maximum £50,000 amount of bonds. Assuming you have £100,000 worth for two, then that is about 2.5%-5% which is still not bad at all given what an instant-access bank account would give.

I think of Premium Bonds as a bit like a little flutter every month, but one where you don't loose your stake :)
yes, the value goes down due to inflation and yes you could get a better return with a high-yield 5 year investment, but we don't all want to be martin boring lewis.

I checked my history and I have Prize Info going back to 2019. I don't know if that is a cut off or not? I do know I have won on the Bonds before 2019 but maybe had multiple Holder Numbers?

well, remember the last winner of the £1,000,000 prize won that with a Premium Bond that cost them £1. So £25 will get you 25 chances.

We filled our boots, gradually over a period of a month.

We're very happy with the outcome/ income... And it's tax free.
Not saying anymore, because Madam Fate is too easily tempted.
